The Aico Battery Heat Alarm is a 10 year lithium battery powered alarm that detects heat from a fire, making it ideal for kitchen installations where smoke alarms would cause too many false alerts. The alarm contains a new thermistor that allows faster alarm responses when the trigger temperature of 58°C has been reached.
The alarm can be hardwired interconnected with up to 12 other Aico alarms and devices, and allows early detection by doing so. The Aico Battery Heat Alarm performs a self test on its sensor, battery voltage and internal circuit every 16 seconds, allowing any faults to be found reguarly and indicated via a combination of red LED indicator flashes and/or sound beeps.
The alarm is easy to install, with no wiring required! The alarm is supplied with screw fixings with a simple twist on base, and will not be activated until the alarm has been twisted on the mounting base, saving battery power consumption prior to installation and any time it is stored.
